Gala:  A New Zealand apple found in the 1930's.  It is a compact apple perfect for fresh eating with a sweet, mild, and juicy with floral undertones.They have a fine-grained, snappy texture without being overly hard or dense. Their thin skin and sweet juice make them ideal to eat without needing to be sliced.
